First Off!!!! Let me thank you for considering serving at AMADEO. We value you and we value the people you want to serve. We do not take it lightly. That being said - we want you to get to know us, and we want to get to know you - and that has to happen in authentic relationships, common God-given hopes, and a common commitment to serving one another and other people. Are you ready to become a part of a family of people laying their lives down for one another? We hope so!

ARE YOU NEW AT AMADEO? Come get to know people through the many opportunities.

1. SERVE! One of the best ways to get to know people is to Serve along side of them. You can serve in the following ways!!!

--- Volunteer at RE:STORE food and clothes pantry. See hours of operation at this site: RE:STORE Non PROFIT

--- Help Setup on Sunday Mornings. Every Sunday we have needs (not because we can't do it with the team we have but because many hands makes light work and it is rewarding serving others.) Ways you can help:

a. Help sweep, take out garbage, clean bathrooms.
b. Help setup coffee, kids classes, pack up a few bags of groceries for church people in need
c. Help setup kids classes: nursery, toddlers and super church
d. Help in Super-church (1st-6th Grade) - We do background checks!!!
e. Help pass out flyer and greet people as they come in
f. Join the prayer team that meets before church and during 1st service (help for part or all) - 830

--- Feed the Homeless every Friday night with "friends feed friends."


2. MEET! Dare to get to know new people.

These meetings are informal get-togethers where we eat together, laugh, and build new relationships. These meetings happen every 1-3 months. Check online calendar or bulletin for info on these meetings.

--- Have people into your home.

Real involvement happens on a one one one basis when people in the church decide to serve one another, build relationships and care for one another. Inviting people into your home for fellowship is perhaps one of the most important ways you can get involved at AMADEO.

--- Meet your neighbors at San Clemente

We go eat a dinner every other Saturday night with our neighbors at San Clemente Apartment. Go meet and hang out with our neighbors and church friends there as we serve our community. Talk to Shelly or Jon about that.

3. LEARN! Learn what it means to be a part of this unique family God is building at AMADEO.

--- Take the Gospel and Mission Class

This class usually happens twice a year. If you would like to learn more about the gospel (good news of Jesus) and mission (how we are trying to be obedient to Christ) of AMADEO, or if you would like to grow into leadership you should take this class. We recommend you "observe," what God is doing for 6 months first by serving and participating in small groups. Ask Pastor Ben about this.

This class usually happens twice a year. If you would like to learn more about becoming an active member, or if you would like to grow into leadership you should take this class. ARE YOU AN OLD TIMER?

Do the stuff:

1. Serve, love, care, have people in your home
2. Do discipleship: meet one one one with people, care for their souls, pray for them, hold them accountable
3. Start asking about leading a home group
4. Ask some leaders where there are current needs and fill in the gap
5. Give generously, use tithe ( 10%) as a baseline for giving.
6. Care for your spouse, spend time with your kids, lay your life down for your church, get to know your neighbors
7. Ask children's director about serving in Sunday school, or ask youth leader about serving in youth
8. Ask God to give you a passion for serving in some area and go break ground doing it.
